Curriculum
What type of curriculum should I use?
Families have the choice of a variety of curriculum options. Together with your HST, review the guiding questions below in order to select the curriculum option that is best for your child.
- Online or offline?
- If online, would live online sessions work with student’s schedule?
- Does the family want a content teacher (HQT) for each course to handle instruction and grading?
- Does the parent prefer a traditional homeschool role (choosing curriculum, providing instruction and feedback to their student, monitoring progress through the curriculum, emailing the teacher only with concerns, etc.)?
- Is the student performing at grade level or lower/higher?
- Does the student have an IEP or 504 Plan?
- Does the parent prefer a curriculum that is “a-g” as is (with an online vendor), or do they prefer to use a curriculum of choice and follow the UC approved Course Outline to meet “a-g” course credit?
We partner with a variety of curriculum providers to provide our students with high quality educational options. We have curriculum info. sheets available for families at the links below. For questions regarding outside curriculum providers, please reach out to your HST or Assistant Director, High School.
